EgyptAir has picked SitecoreAI to manage the content on its main website, its country sites and its mobile app. No go live date has been shared.
The airline’s stated plans include personalisation and AI assisted content. In plain terms: showing different offers to different travellers, and using AI to produce and update the huge amount of copy an airline needs across languages and markets.
Airlines are a good test case for this kind of tool. A carrier like EgyptAir sells to Egyptians at home, to the diaspora in the Gulf and Europe, and to tourists from everywhere. Each group wants different fares, different language and different reasons to fly. Doing that by hand is slow and expensive.
For African brands watching, the useful question is whether AI personalisation actually sells more tickets, or just produces more content. We’ll be watching for EgyptAir to share results once the new platform is live.
Most businesses don’t need an enterprise platform to start. If your website shows the same homepage to a first time visitor and a loyal customer, there’s a cheaper first step: segment your email list and your ads before you buy software to do it.
